Not seeing correct courses in Canvas due to an internal system or data error.
Note: These are all Known Issues. Pathway is manually updating the Canvas enrollments daily. Please allow up to 24 hours for Canvas to display properly if you follow the instructions below and we close the ticket indicating to you that your issue has been or will be fixed.
- Verify which courses are registered by going to the Classes section of the student portal homepage.
- Compare those courses to what appears in the Canvas Dashboard.
Below are the known issues for Canvas:
Registered Courses Missing
- Issue: There is a registered course that is missing in Canvas.
- Resolution: We are actively working to restore students' registered courses back into Canvas.
When seeing course(s) disappearing from Canvas suddenly
Verify: This is either a registration issue or a Canvas issue:
- Registration Issue: Formerly registered course no longer appears on student portal homepage.
- Canvas Issue: Currently registered course, which appears on the student portal homepage, is missing in Canvas.
Registration Issue Support: Please follow the instructions in Registration Issues article.
Canvas Issue Support: Please submit a support request by doing the following:
- Log in to the Help Center
- Click the + Submit New Request button.
- Select the Topic as Canvas – Course Issue.
- Set the Title as Course Missing in Canvas.
- Include the missing course(s) in the Description field, i.e. REL250A, PUBH132, etc.
- Attach a screenshot of your Canvas dashboard and the Student Portal homepage.
- Click the Submit button.
Dropped Courses Still Showing
- Issue: Your dropped a course that is still visible in Canvas.
- Resolution: We are actively working to remove all dropped courses from Canvas.
- Please do not continue doing coursework for dropped courses.
- Reach out to the Instructor through Canvas to notify them that the course has been dropped.
- Reach out to the Instructor through Canvas to notify them that the course has been dropped.
Non-registered Courses Showing
- Issue: There is a non-registered course appearing in Canvas.
- Resolution: We are actively working to remove all non-registered courses from Canvas.
If you continue to see any of the above issues should do the following:
- Log into the Help Center
- Sign-in with your byupathway.edu login
- Click Submit a New Request
- Title: Incorrect Courses in Canvas
- Product/Service: Canvas - Course Issue
- Preferred Contact Method: Verify your preferred method is set
- Description:
- Include what courses you are registered for and would expect to see in Canvas
- Screenshots of the entire screen showing the URL
- Click Submit
