This article explains how to register for BYU-Pathway PathwayConnect foundational courses and how to add or adjust courses if the wrong ones appear in your schedule.

If you are participating in the Limited Release of PathwayConnect in Portuguese, follow these instructions.

Part 1: Select Your Gatherings 

  1. Academic Gathering
  2. Log in to the student portal
  3. Go to Academics > Gatherings > Schedule.
  4. Choose when you want to start your courses.
  5. Select whether you want to meet virtually or in person.
  6. Choose your location and time, then click Next.

Religion Gathering

  1. Select Virtual.
  2. Choose your time zone and preferred gathering time.
  3. If no available times work for you, click this tutorial and follow the instructions.
  4. Click Confirm Schedule.

Part 2: Plan Your Courses

  1. Use Your Program Plan
  2. A Program Plan lists the courses required for your degree and the order we recommend taking them.
  3. Go to the Academic Catalog at catalog.byupathway.edu.  
  4. Click Certificates & Degrees in the gold bar at the top.
  5. In the left panel, check the box next to BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
  6. In the main area, choose PathwayConnect.
  7. Select your Program Plan at the top of the page.
  8. Consider bookmarking, downloading, or printing your plan for easy access.
  9. Mark any courses you’ve completed, then identify the next courses you need (for example, if you are in PC 102, look at Block 3 in your plan to find your next courses).

Part 3: Register for Courses

  1. Step 1: Add or Drop Courses in Your Class Schedule
  2. In your student portal, go to Academics > Class Schedule.
  3. Click Next Term to view the upcoming term (for example, “2025 Term 5”).
  4. If the listed courses are correct, click Register. A green Registered label will appear.
  5. To remove a course, click Remove Course.
  6. If your courses are all correct, skip Step 2.

Step 2: Adjust Courses if Any Are Incorrect

  1. On the Class Schedule page, click Register for additional courses.
  2. Enter the course code and name (found on your Program Plan) in the search bar—for example, PC 101 - Life Skills.
  3. Click Register.
  4. Repeat for any other courses you need.
  5. If you see an error, follow the instructions in the error message.
  6. Click Go Back to Class Schedule.
  7. Your newly added courses will show as Registered in green.
  8. To drop a course, click Drop Course, check the box next to the course, and click Confirm.

Step 3: Verify Your Registered Courses

  1. Click the BYU-Pathway Worldwide logo to return to your student portal homepage.
  2. Check the Classes tile to confirm your registered courses.
