How do I know if a job opportunity is legitimate?
 
BYU-Pathway Worldwide is partnering with numerous companies and staffing agencies to provide students with job opportunities. Approved job notices will always come through official BYU-Pathway Worldwide channels, which include email and Career Connections or Student Society WhatsApp groups and you can fully trust these are legitimate job opportunities. Approved employers or staffing agencies may also include:
  • Bloom
  • ClearSource
  • HRG Search
  • Mountain River Partners
  • Solvo Global
  • Springboard
If you receive something from a specific person or company not mentioned above, it may not be legitimate and could present a risk to respond. To verify if a recruiter is from a real company, check their email domain to see if it matches the official company website (e.g., a recruiter from Bloom should have an email ending in "@hirebloom.com" rather than a generic domain like "@gmail.com"). You can also look up the recruiter on LinkedIn to see if they are listed as an employee of the company. If anything seems suspicious, do not engage.
