Graduation info page
All students completing EnglishConnect, PathwayConnect, certificates, and/or degrees through BYU-Pathway Worldwide must complete the graduation application located in the Companion app. The Graduation Team cannot process graduation cases without a submitted application.
Deadlines to Apply for Graduation
The deadline to apply for graduation is one week before the end of each semester. Any applications received after the deadline will be reviewed for graduation in the following term.
To avoid confusion with specific dates, refer to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Academic Calendar to determine when each term ends.
Applying for Graduation or for Certificate/Program Completion
Before applying for a certificate or degree, check your Degree Progress Audit to ensure all requirements are completed. You can find your degree audit in your student portal under 'Academics' > 'Degree Progress Audit'. To apply for an EnglishConnect or PathwayConnect completion certificate, or to apply for graduation for certificates and/or degrees earned through BYU-Pathway Worldwide in partnership with BYU-Idaho and Ensign College, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your student portal
2. Select 'Support' then 'Companion' in the navigation pane on the left side of the screen.
3. Log into Companion using your byupathway.edu email address.
4. Select the 'Services' button at the bottom of the page.
5. Click on the 'Graduation Application' button. This will open the graduation application.
6. Complete the application by providing the requested information in each field.
7. You must have a current ecclesiastical endorsement to be eligible for graduation in any program
Submitting the application will automatically send your case to the Graduation Team for review. This review process typically takes 2–3 weeks. Once reviewed, you will receive communication regarding the status of your application.
Graduation Event
Students graduating with an AAS or BS from BYU-Idaho or a certificate, AAS, or BAS from Ensign College are invited to participate in the in-person commencement ceremony of the respective institution.
If you plan to participate in a commencement ceremony at BYU-Idaho or Ensign College, you should complete the graduation survey included in the application by the deadline to confirm attendance and have your name included in the program.
Refer to the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Academic Calendar for the most current dates and deadlines. If you do not complete the graduation application or survey before the deadline, you are still welcome to attend the commencement.
