Graduation Application

The deadline to apply for graduation is 2 weeks before the end of each term as follows:

Term 1: Last day to apply is Saturday, February 15, 2025

Term 2: Last day to apply is Saturday, April 5, 2025

Applying for Graduation or for a Completion Certificate

Before applying for a certificate or degree, check your degree progress audit to make sure you've completed all requirements. You can find your degree audit in your student portal by going to "Academics" then "Degree Progress Audit."

To apply for an EnglishConnect completion certificate, PathwayConnect completion certificate or to apply for graduation for certificates and/or degrees earned through BYU-Pathway Worldwide in partnership with BYU-Idaho and Ensign College, follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your student portal
  2. Select "Support"  then "Companion" in the navigation pane on the left side of the screen.
  3. Log into Companion using your byupathway.edu email address.
  4.  Select the "Services" button at the bottom of the page.
  5. Click on the "Graduation Application" button. This will open the graduation application.
  6. Fill out the application by providing the information in each field.
  7. You will need to have a current ecclesiastical endorsement to be awarded graduation in any program.

Filling out the application will automatically send a case to the Graduation Team for review. The review process can take 2-3 weeks. After the case has been reviewed, communication will be sent informing the student of the status of their application.

The deadline to apply for graduation is two weeks before the end of each term. Any applications received after the deadline will be reviewed for graduation in the following term.

Graduation Event

Students graduating with an AAS or BS from BYU-Idaho or a Certificate, AAS, or BAS from Ensign College are invited to participate in the in person commencement ceremony for the institution they are receiving their credential from. 

If you plan to participate in one of the commencement ceremonies offered through BYU-Idaho or Ensign College, you must fill out the graduation survey contained in the application by the deadline.

The last day to fill out the graduation survey and have your name included in the program is Monday, March 3rd 2025 for BYU-Idaho and Monday February 24, 2025 for Ensign College.
